RETURNING TO CAMPUS?

Here, you’ll find the most up-to-date information about our return to on-campus instruction.

WHAT TO EXPECT IF YOU RETURN TO ON-CAMPUS INSTRUCTION

  1. Daily health screenings: We are requiring all staff and students to respond to a daily health screening prior to arriving on campus and have their temperature checked upon entering the building.

  2. Masks: We are requiring all students and staff to either wear a single KN95 mask, or a blue surgical mask under a cloth mask (commonly known as “double-masking”). It is recommended that students provide their own masks each day, but we have options available to them at the front desk.

  3. Physical and social distancing: All students and staff will maintain social/physical distancing of 6 feet. Each classroom and Homework Café has been staged to ensure a safe and appropriate distance.

  4. Homework support: Homework support is being provided both on campus and virtually.

  5. Social activities: All group activities including field trips and fun nights will remain virtual for the foreseeable future. We will keep our fingers crossed for lots of in-person fun in later in 2021. For now, we will maintain our virtual platform to connect with students and ensure they still have the social and emotional support they need.

  6. Campus cleanliness: Students are required to use hand sanitizing gel when entering the campus, when entering each classroom, and when entering the Homework Cafe. Additionally, students are required to clean their workspace upon entering and exiting their classrooms and Homework Café. (Your kids are going to be #SqueakyClean 😉)

  7. PPE: All classrooms, offices, and community spaces have hand sanitizer, gloves, and cleaning materials available.

  8. Professional cleaning: Sanitization of the campus by a professional cleaning team occurred prior to reopening the campus and has continued each evening since we returned to campus.

  9. Visitors: Access to campus by non-essential visitors and parents will be on an appointment basis only.

A WORD ON INTERSTATE TRAVEL

Fusion continues to follow the California Department of Public Health Advisory for Interstate Travel.

As we begin to move more freely about the country, note that any interstate travel for students or staff requires a 10-day quarantine (symptom free) upon return. Fusion will conduct virtual sessions with your student during that time. If you have questions, please reach out to Adam Logue at 765-580-0695.

As always, we're following the guidelines set forth in California's COVID Blueprint. As new CDC guidelines emerge or anything changes, we'll let you know.

Finally, most of our teachers have returned to campus, but there are a few exceptions due to extenuating circumstances. On occasion, it is possible that your student will be on campus in a classroom, but their teacher will be virtual. Additionally, while we hope to see many of our students back on campus, they still have the option of attending virtually.

Despite the circumstances, our staff and students have done an amazing job of being safe AND having fun at school. Please reach out if you have any questions!
