Spring MAP Testing

Between March 1st and April 18th, all full‑time, re‑enrolling students must take two MAP tests in reading and math. Testing will be held Monday to Fridays in the Homework Café by appointment. Sign up below.

FAQ’s

  • MAP tests are adaptive multiple-choice assessments with about 44 questions. They help identify academic strengths and gaps so teachers can personalize instruction. These tests do not affect grades or transcripts. Students should know that it is normal to see both easier and harder questions because the test adjusts to find their appropriate level. The goal is an honest effort, not a perfect score.

  • Fusion provides laptops for testing, but students may bring their own laptop if they prefer. No other materials are needed.

  • MAP offers a read‑aloud text option for students who need it. Students who
    use a calculator as a classroom accommodation may use one for the entire
    test. Otherwise, a calculator icon will appear only on questions where it is
    allowed.
