What is the timeline to start a class?

After contracting and payment is complete, the turnaround time for classes to begin is typically 2-3 days. If families to begin sooner, our recommendation is to complete the enrollment form on the portal and sign the contract as soon as you receive the email notifications. This expedites the onboarding process.

We just had our admissions meeting. What are the next steps?

Receive a link to the parent portal via the automatic welcome email
Fill out the enrollment form on the portal
Review and sign contract - once payment is received and processed (typically 3 days after payment), classes may begin
Student’s schedule will be visible in the parent portal after contracting process is complete
Student will receive welcome email with detailed instructions about how to long onto the student portal

How do I check my student’s schedule?

You can see your student’s weekly schedule on our Parent Portal. We highly recommend saving my.fusionacademy.com to your bookmarks on the home screen of your phone so you can do this easily as needed.

How are schedules created?

We create individual, personalized schedules for each student through careful consideration of these factors: your own personal preferences, our available timeslots, and the right teacher fit for your student.

Schedules are created on a first-come, first-serve and are based off of our teacher availability. We work hard to match your requests to the best of our ability, and nothing is set in stone until we have your approval.

A signed, paid contract will ensure that the sessions in the package are secured for a specific length of time. For example, a package of 10 sessions will ensure that during the agreed upon schedule, 10 sessions are booked. Sessions after this point are not guaranteed without a contract.

What does an “expected start date” mean?

Because we are a mastery-based model, students begin and end their semesters at various times. Each student has their own unique pacing and may conclude a course later than anticipated. This is one of the reasons our program is unique — we allow students to learn and progress at their own pace.

What this means is that at certain times of the year, typically around April and May, we have more dynamic schedules to consider. As teachers request additional sessions, called “mastery sessions,” we may see that a current student’s end date is extended.

Sometimes, a student with the timeslot before yours will need to finish up. We do our best to honor the start date that we provide, however, we want to be transparent about the constraints we may experience.

As we approach the summer term, our full-time students are completing their courses.
